When a T4A(P) Child Benefit is received, the income is considered to that of the child whose name it is in.

If the child has other income (a part-time job for example), they should file their own tax return and would file that slip with their return.

If you are making a claim for any child as an Eligible Dependant (also known as Equivalent to Spouse), you need to enter this amount in as the child's income. To enter your child's net income in the Online version of TurboTax, go to Deductions > Additional Dependant Info > complete the information on the page that appears.
