My summary states that I have over 8k in tuition fees, but I never input that and I am pretty sure it's not carried over from previous years. How can I get rid of it?

Did you use Auto-fill? If so it may have come from the CRA. You can check any tuition carry forward amounts using MyAccount. 

You can also just delete the amount in Student section if you know it's incorrect.
