Where do I enter my interest paid on my student loans?

As per the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), you can claim interest paid upon a student loan on line 31900 of your return.

To claim interest paid on a student loan, please follow the given steps in the TurboTax Online software:

  1. Sign in to your TurboTax account and select your suitable return.
  2. Select Find (or the magnifying glass icon) from the TurboTax menu in the upper right corner.
  3. In the Find window, type Students and choose it from the list then click Go.
  4. On the Your Student Profile step, select Student loan interest and then Continue.
  5. On the Student Loan Interest step, enter your applicable interest amounts, then scroll down to click Continue and save your information.
