It would depend on your circumstances. However, under certain circumstances, amounts can be transferred from an RRSP, RRIF, PRPP or SPP to another RRSP, RRIF, PRPP or SPP tax free if that transfer is due to divorce. So if you are eligible for this tax free transfer, that may be the best option.
