The CRA requires that students issued a T2202A slip (for tuition amounts) must claim the amount they need on their own return to reduce their tax payable to zero. Only then can any unused amounts then be transferred to a parent or other eligible transferee.

Since online editions are free until you're ready to file, you could prepare your daughters return to get an estimate of the unused amount she has available for transfer to you. It's typically a good idea to complete your dependant's (usually simpler) returns before yours so you have the amounts you need from their return to prepare yours.
