The Federal and Provincial returns are separate, and so are Tuition amounts.

Check her 2016 Notice, or go to her My Account for CRA.  

Tuition carryforwards are given as separate amounts and should be entered as such in her

2017 return.

If you use AutoFill on her return, the amounts should be downloaded from CRA.

( Nore you still need to enter her 2017 Tuition form T2202A, it's not in AutoFill).
