This sentence in your software makes no sense: "Self-employment income that doesn't qualify as earned income for RRSP purposes." It's not even a complete sentence.

I am just about to net file and this pop-up comes up. It makes no sense. See attachment.

Self-employment income DOES qualify for RRSP eligibility.

Earned Income is a calculated amount as defined under the Income Tax Act, that excludes certain income like distributions from Athletic Trusts reported under the net self-employment.  If your Net Self-Employment Income does not include a distribution from an athletic trust then report the entire Net Income.  Please see: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/E/pub/tg/t4040/t4040-e.html#stp_2chrt_3

I received this same message, but does not give me a box to enter a number in. Where do I enter an amount for this question?
