Treatment of foreign self employment income for CPP on Canadian taxes.

1- Do I require to pay for CPP contributions on Canadian tax returns while self employed in USA  (non-employee compensation box 7 on 1099 Misc). I file my taxes in Canada as Canadian resident for tax purposes.

2- How to treat Foreign Self-Employment from USA on Canadian taxes? On which Line to report this income? Is this Line number 135?

Foreign income of all sorts are reported on the Foreign slip under the 'income' tab. Hover over "Tslips" and scroll down to foreign income. Here you can also enter the taxes withheld from your 1040. You will not be required to remit CPP on this income.

I earn foreign income as a tutor and am paid in US dollars. Do I have to make CPP contributions based on self employed income from a foreign company?
