Tuition tax credit carry forward from different province

I moved from Manitoba to Ontario in June 2018 and now I filed my 2018 tax return in Ontario.Based on my 2017 tax assessment I have unused federal and Manitoba tuition and education amounts of $20,000 and $4,520.Can I claim this tuition credit amount If I file my 2018 tax return in Ontario?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the unused Manitoba tuition and education amounts.  This is a new rule on Ontario's S11 form this year restricting the use of unused tuition amounts from another province or territory.

You can still use your unused federal tuition and education amounts.

So, I can add $20,000 federal credit amount in this year tax return?

Yes, you should add the amount from your 2017 Notice of Assessment for unused federal tuition amounts.  Go to Deductions > Students > Tuition Fees Carryforward.  Leave the unused provincial tuition amounts blank.  Your income and other credits will determine how much of those unused federal credits are used up this year, as calculated on Schedule 11.
