If you are a resident of Canada, are 71 or younger, file tax returns, and have income that qualifies as “earned income”, then you will have an RRSP limit. The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will keep track of this limit and it will be imported with your other data if you use Auto-Fill. If you don’t have an RRSP (registered retirement savings plan) account, then the limit will not have any effect on your tax return.
