Why is the RRSP limit for 2024 added to the "current RRSP contributions" when zero contributions were made?

Hi @terryp623
Good morning! If the RRSP limit for 2024 is showing as added to your current RRSP contributions despite making zero contributions, here are the most likely reasons:

1. RRSP Contribution Room: The system might be showing the maximum contribution limit for 2024, not actual contributions. This is simply your available room to contribute, not an amount you’ve already contributed.

2. Unused Contribution Room: If you had unused RRSP room from previous years, it can carry forward and add to your current available room for 2024, which may cause the full limit to show.

Please check if its getting deducted in summary .
In short, the RRSP limit represents your potential contribution room, not actual contributions made. Hope this helps.
