Why is the software doubling my tuition costs? I have made less than 10K in a year and my tuition costs are lowering my return significantly.

If you were in school full time for a period of at least 13 weeks, then you are not eligible for the Working Income Tax Benefit, which is a benefit for tax payers with low income, but income from employment or self employment.  The software will know if you are entitled once you enter the details from your T2202.
