Last year I claimed all of my tuition left over on 2016 tax return. Nothing told me I would not carry over unused ($7600). Now I cannot carry it over. Any advice?

You can claim any unused Federal or Provincial tuition amounts as described on your 2016 Notice of Assessment or recorded in your My Account at the CRA web site.

Enter this information under the “Deductions” tab > “Students” and “Tuition Fees Carried Forward”.

Provide the applicable information for each of the federal and provincial amounts.

You can verify any unused amount for 2018 under the “Review” tab > “Transfer for next year summary”. (If applicable.)
