How do I claim two leased vehicles in a year on my T777 form?

To claim two or more leased vehicles on your return, you must complete a Statement of Employment Expenses (T777), for each individual vehicle claim.

To do so, select your version of TurboTax from the list below, then follow the instructions:

  1. Select the Profile tab.
  2. On the first Personal Profile screen, answer Yes to the question "Did you work in (tax year)?"
  3. Select the I was employed checkbox.
  4. Answer Yes to the question "Did you have expenses related to your employment?"
  5. Select all the checkboxes that apply and click Continue. You will enter your employment expenses on a series of screens in the Income section of the interview.
  6. If you are preparing a coupled return, click the checkbox of each person who is claiming vehicle expenses and then click Continue.
    If you are preparing a single return, click Yes.
  7. On the Employment Expense Profile screen, check all the checkboxes that apply and click Continue.
  8. Continue through the employment expenses section and enter the information for the first leased vehicle.
  9. When you reach the bottom of the page, select the button for Enter Another Vehicle.
  10. Repeat steps 8 and 9 as applicable

 

  1. On the Toolbar, click Forms.
  2. In the Keyword to search for field, type T777.
  3. Select T777[1] and click OK.
  4. Enter the information for the first leased vehicle.
  5. Repeat steps 1 - 3 above and select T777[2].
  6. Enter your information for the second leased vehicle.
