1040 Free File HSA Contribution Glitch

I was nearly finished with the free filing -- our first ever...we usually use Deluxe --- and answered "I'm not sure" to the "Do you have an H.S.A." question. I could not remember if we had contributed to it at all in 2023.

I was then able to check our H.S.A. account and we had not contributed in 2023. So I tried to go back to unclick "I'm not sure" and click "No, We Did Not" but it would not let me. Instead, it trapped me in a loop that claims I have to upgrade to the $39 TurboTax program to continue. And now it reads, "We see your spouse had a lapse in coverage in 2023" which is NOT TRUE and there is no option to say that is incorrect.

So do I start over entirely? I'm so irritated I'm about to go with another tax provider this year since we have a simple return...and I've used TurboTax for a good 16 years+.

Come on, Intuit. Do better.
