Exact same issue here - i saw a solution for the 2023 version having to do with a visualbasic upgrade, but that did not work for my 2024 download version. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, tried as the administrator, but to no avail.

Thank you, I have done all that. I spent 2 hrs 20 min on with Turbotax IT. We tried everything. I tried 3 computers running different operating systems. I even used a different modem at another location. All 3 stopped at the same place. Charge the extra and go back to the CD's. I've been using Turbotax for almost 10 years and this is the first issue. I even bought a new computer, with no luck. Looking for another program to use.

your link does not work. I too am having the same issue getting your app to install. Every year since you started TurboTax I have used it, never had an install issue. Why this year? What did YOU change to create this issue? I would suggest you get your QA people to use the same PC every season to test installs. You know, just like your customers do.

Never did get this to install on my main PC, but had no issues at all on my son's laptop. I've installed multiple prior versions with no issues, and have full administrator rights, anti-virus and Windows defender turned off. It definitely isn't a PC issue or a display issue, but is something within the program that is different than its previous versions. I'll be reconsidering the product for next year.
@jameswirth40 If your son's laptop had it installed, then your device's installation must have been blocked by something.

I am having a similar issue. I have purchased Desktop Standard 2024 and cannot get it to run on my Windows 10 laptop that I have used for Turbo Tax software for the past five years. When I run the software, the Turbo Tax panel is displayed, but the right half of the panel is blacked out, and according to IT, this is where I would normally see controls that allow me to log in and validate my license code. I have had three unsuccessful IT Support phone calls. The first support call provided me with suggestions to try, the second call was cut off after 1.5 hours, the third support helper could not resolve my problem and let me go it alone after 2 hours. I have followed all of the procedures listed below by the moderator, with and without IT's supervision. I too wish Intuit would just go back to providing the CD - I could have had my taxes done by now.

Many are complaining of install issues. I have installed and completed many returns. I was using it yesterday April 22, fine. Today's check/download is causing it to fail!
For me, after 30+minutes, it started. When I started TurboTax2024, Win 11, it downloaded the update and then had the blank white screen that would never fully open. I just left it, and 30+ minutes later, just now, it started. For me, it was working yesterday and has been running fine for many weeks. I have completed 4/5 tax returns. One left!

I appreciate the response; however, I did not want to spend any more time troubleshooting the problem. I have submitted for a refund and switched to UFile this year, which downloaded, installed and activated without issue. TurboTax 2024, it’s just not your year.
