It depends on what province you’re in.

For residents of British Columbia, Ontario and Manitoba, there is a property tax credit available to renters based on the rent paid. In Québec, there is a rent credit as part of the Solidarity Tax Credit.

In Manitoba, there is a Manitoba Renters' Tax Credit. I spoke to CRA this morning, and I qualify (as I have for years). It is on form MB479, lines 61165 and 61167. However, it is not appearing on Turbotax and there is no place to input the info, such as my rent, the landlord's name, etc. Why is this not appearing in Turbotax? How can I access this form from Turbotax to add to the rest of my tax form?

@hyla716 You'll be able to claim rent paid in the Provincial section.
