Can you tell me why I went from getting a refund to owing money? This is my first time using turbo tax
As you add more information, the balance changes. A
common example is when someone inputs a T4 with a small amount of income on it.
The program adds the WITB credit. But then if the person adds a T2202A with
full time tuition, then they no longer qualify for the WITB and it gets
removed, so their refund goes down. If they then go in an add a lot of
investment income, then they may end up owing money, even though they were a
full time student who only worked a few weeks.
