I receive Ontario disability pension since 2000 I was receiving disability tax credit but when I renewed it after 10 years they did not approve me but said that I could try again only send more information from specialists I've seen. Can my husband apply for the Canadian caregiver credit if I am getting disability pension but not the disability tax credit?
If you state that you are dependent on your spouse because of an impairment in mental or physical functions, TurboTax automatically claims the Canada Caregiver Credit for you. The amount they're entitled to depend on your particular circumstances, your net income, and whether you're claiming other credits as well.
