CCA for Gifted Vehicle with no prior depreciation applied

Hi!

I have a vehicle that was gifted to me by a family member ~5 years ago that I am looking to claim CCA on for the first time.  The vehicle was purchased in 2012, and has had to CCA depreciation applied to it in any year prior - either by myself or the family member who was the original owner.

Last year I was primarily working from home (I have a T2200 form identifying that working from home was a condition of my employment), but required to commute to the office on average 1 day a week.  Based on my mileage for the year and the distance of the commute I have established the portion of use that was for work purposes.

I am hoping that someone can confirm for me that I use the original purchase price of the vehicle as the basis for my CCA calculation, even though it was gifted to me.

Many thanks.
