If you make charitable donations to registered charities, the federal government of Canada allows you to claim a non-refundable tax credit. This means it will reduce the taxes owe on the return.
In Form mode, click on Forms tab (at the bottom of the page and select Form DON, make sure you select the proper name. You can also try the Charitable donation optimizer.
