code # 95365 how to fix this?

It says I reported capital from a T3 slip on Line 17600 of Schedule 3. An entry is also required on Line 68140 in Chart A of form T936. line 68140 cannot not be less than line 17600

 

I don't understand is all the numbers are automatically generated. What caused the error?

 

Can someone help?

Line 68140 in Form T936, Chart A should automatically include the sum of all lines 21 in T3 slips. It's not working. I called Turbotax customer support twice yesterday and today. The staff I discussed this with had no idea, made excuses, said that it's a problem with CRA, etc. No resolution so far.

Hope someone will see this and fix it, it's an error in the desktop version. CRA rejected my tax return.

Try calling them, if more people call and post about this they may react. 

I've used Turbotax for 21 consecutive years, this is the last time. Their lack of response is shocking, I don't trust this company with my numbers anymore.

I called too.  They told me it was an known error and were working it.   They also told me I would be added to the notification list and I would receive an email regarding it.  I never got an email.....

Mine. Same case. I tried a couple of times according to the internet, then CRA locked my Netfile access. It took me 2.5 hours to call them to unlock it. What a wasting time?!

 

See there is any solution.

I am getting the same error code.  I have claimed 50% on the T3 slip.  Then on line 68140 this should be the full amount less your portion. The program should allow for the lessor amount.  If you override it CRA will not allow you to efile.  Turbo tax needs to fix this.

I used two different software, same problem. I almost believe it's issue related to CRA side.

Admin TurbotaxAniqua says they are working on the issue.  Can they give us a timeframe as to when this will be resolved?  Will the resolution be included as an update when "checking for updates"?

I believe this is CRA problem, and learned that CRA was encourage you to file tax on later date, if you have capital gain to report. i will wait till middle of April to file 2024 tax return,

I noticed that you'd posted under "standard edition"....etc.

 

As far as I know...STANDARD VERSION is very basic and does NOT cover "capital gains/investments/properties"...etc.

 

Could that be it??

 

I bought the "PREMIER VERSION" and was able to filed mine successfully as of 03/21/2025

Thanks for the advice about Premier Edition but I have been using Standard for 15 years and have never had a problem with T3 entries.  For some reason the TurboTax program is not entering the number from the T3 slip (ie. total of Box 21) into the T936 form.  It successfully enters the number into the Schedule 3 but failed to enter the same number into the T936 form.  When I checked the 2023 tax form all numbers were entered successfully into the T936.  I am not able to override the entry. This is a TurboTax issue not a CRA issue.  I hope that the TurboTax team can get this resolved.

I use Premier desktop version of TT (have been for at least 10 years) and I am also receiving error code #95365.

I called CRA and the rep also told me to wait to the end of March. He assured me the error will be corrected by then and updates will be available.

This looks like a TurboTax issue because the capital gains on box 21 of T3 are not following to box 68140 of the T936.  When will this be fixed by TurboTax?

Completely agree...this sure looks like a TurboTax issue with data not populating from the entry screen for T3 to the T936.  This is pretty clearly a TurboTax that has to be fixed in order to NetFile returns.  Hopefully the next TurboTax update will have the correction done or have the purchase price of the program refunded to all users with this issue.

I am having the same issue. #95365- there is an entry on form T936 and /or on the Schedule 3. Reported a capital gain from a T3 on line 17600 of schedule 3. An entry is also required on line 68140 in chart A of form T936. Line 68140 cannot be less than line 17600. Plus 3 other points. 

I called and same thing they told me it was a problem with CRA, I don't agree. I think it's a problem with thier software. 

She also told me to try again yesterday evening and that it was a known issue that CTA is working on. I ended up trying again this morning and same thing. I really don't want to be locked out of Netfile and need to talk to CRA for a couple hours to correct it.

It doesn't sound to me like the person I talked to had a clue!

Thank you, the only reason I'm unable to file is this issue. I'm expecting a sizeable refund, the money could be in my account making interest, but it's not there as I'm waiting for Turbotax to fix their product. Hope you find a solution soon. Just checked and nothing, no update. It's been four days since I reported this issue.

Have the same problem with error code. TurboTax is adding one penny to the amount being claimed when you split the claim either on the T3 or on the T936. My amount is XX.31 and it's being changed to XX.32, like an AI doing math and rounding up two .5 pennies to 1's.  Either TurboTax or CRA need to resolve this quickly.

Let me tell more about my case, then you may see more about this error code. 

I first used Futuretax to file my return ( I used it for many years), got that code, then I tried TurboTax, thought it may be a bug of that software. Unfortunately my Netfile account was locked. After I called CRA to unlock my account which as I said took me 2.5 hours.  then I used TurboTax to file my return. It successed. Then I try to file my wife's return with  TurboTax right after, again got the same code. 

Now I am waiting for the fix either from TurboTax or FutureTax, or from CRA. I do not want my wife's Netfile account blocked too.

How will we be notified when/if there is a fix?  I'm currently using the online version.
