CRA error code 84 : #95033

I got CRA Result code 84 : #95033 while filing my Netfile. Apparently, it's a common error and TurboTax says it's aware of it. Have any of you found a solution?

The error seems to be in the T4 form, but I have all the data as they suggest and still have the issue.

The CRA has announced systems tax calculator errors that may affect your ability to file. These errors are affecting all CRA certified tax software across Canada.

TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.

Could you please try these steps?

  1. If box 10 indicates Quebec as the province of employment, verify that boxes 16 and 16A are empty.
  2. If box 10 indicates a province other than Quebec, verify that boxes 17 and 17A are empty.

Hi, forgot to mention that I've followed these steps since last week, the outcome remains the same.

@aperezv Is your province of employment Quebec? If not, remove amounts in box 17 on the T4 if your province of employment is not QC.

Thanks for the advice, but that is one of the first things I did. The information is correct, but you guys are not creating a line in the form.

I am having the same error. Turbotax says line 50310 is missing.

On the T4

Box 10 says QC (Correct)

Box 16 is empty

Box 16A is empty

Box 17 has the correct amount

I still cannot file the tax return.

@aperezv Try removing the amount in box 17 if you lived in QC but worked in another province.

There's nothing in that line. Inline in Quebec and have never worked elsewhere. It's not an error on my end, it's some sort of coding issue.

Did not work in another province. Only in Quebec

Here's a quick update for anyone following this thread. I got an email this morning (April 3rd) telling me the issue had been solved. I filed my Netfile without any issues.

Hi there, not fixed yet for me. Although now there is a message when you try to file that turbo tax is working to fix the issue with CRA, and to come back after April 14. I am surprised it took that long to put up that message given the community signalled there was an issue months ago.

Why is no one from TurboTax informing the community on these forums. The customers are having to investigate and inform others of the current situations.  Whether It's the CRA  or TurboTax  problem is irrelevant when it comes to customer support.

This is the notice I now get before I try to file.

Alert:
If you see one of the following error codes, it's due to a CRA issue affecting all tax software in Canada. We're working with the CRA to get this resolved. Please come back after April 14 to file. Error codes: 2508, 2515, 45555, 90228, 90308, 95031, 95033, 95034, 95365 or 99915.
