When trying to send in my taxes I get the following error
CRA Result Code: 84
#95033
I am entering a very simple T4 + Relevé 1 for my wife and when I go to send it to CRA an error pops up saying :
Your software should have also generated an amount on line 50310. But no where to I see how to generate that line.
Is there currently an issue when I only have an amount in cell 17 of my T4? (nothing in 16,16aand 17a)
On your T4, you should have some kind of income, because you pay QPP based on your income. You may want to contact your employer and ask about this slip.
Hi, the T4 I am entering has income, but the issue is that the value I am putting for cell 17 is not transferring to my federal declaration.
In other words the Base CPP or QPP contributions through employment from box 16 and box 17 is not pushing into the section/cell 30800 of the results. I don't know what I have to do for that data to push correctly into that cell.
@cuillerierjg Use the total of the amounts shown in boxes 16 and 17 of your T4 slips when you complete Schedule 8 or Form RC381, whichever applies, to calculate the amounts to claim on line 30800 and line 22215 of your tax return and also make sure they enter the province on box 10.
I have the same problem.
I entered the information from the T4 and RL1 and get an error when I try to netfile to the CRA.
I see that it relates to schedule 8 .
Line 30800 should be populated on the T1 which corresponds with line 50310 on schedule 8. Line 30800 is empty and there is no line 50310 on the schedule 8.
It's error 95033 and 84. This stipulates that the software generated an entry for line 50330 and should also have generated an entry for line 50310.
I first attempted to file using Wealthsimpletax and opened a ticket with customer support there who said that they were looking into it as they have received quite a few messages from people with the same problem.
In the meantime I decided to try filing using Turbotax to see if it is a software issue with Wealthsimple.
I get the exact same error with Turbotax.
Maybe this means that the issue is on the CRA end?
The schedule 8 form is supposed to automatically generate based on the information input in the system for the T4. The information has been added to box 17 and the correct province ie Quebec has been selected.
Both those forms do not seem to apply to my situation. I live in the province of Quebec and my wife received her T4 from an employment of quebec (her 4%), we are under the age of 40 and does stipulate being of a certain age.
From my understand of Line 30800 should be populated by boxes 16, 16A, 17 and 17A of the T4 and not another form
I just know that the 2 forms are connected and when you input the information from the T4 and RL 1 the schedule 8 is created, it's not a question of completing the schedule 8 separately as was suggested in another post.
It's looks like we are having the exact same issue.
I'm also in Quebec and entered the information from the T4 and RL 1 in the system.
For the T4 I entered the data in box 17 for QPP contributions .
Line 30800 on the T1 is empty which should be populated and there is no line 50310 on the schedule 8 as is required.

Those are not forms we have access to since they should be generated automatically
In the system when we enter the information from the T4 and RL1 slips the other reports automatically generate ie the T1,TP1 and schedule 8. We don't manually complete those forms.
When we enter the information from the T4 slip the information is supposed to automatically populated the appropriate lines on the T1 and schedule 8.
In this situation we are entering the correct information from the T4 but line 30800 on the T1 is not populating as it should and line 50310 of the schedule 8 is not being generated at all.
Please take a closer look at this situation to determine what the issue is and whether it's with the Turbotax software or potentially an issue from the CRA side.

I'm assuming that this is AI support as we keep getting the exact same copy and paste responses that don't take into account at all the information you have been given by myself and the other poster.
The responses also shows a lack of knowledge of the Turbotax user interface.
This is not really an answer, those forms are not available in turbo tax to add.

@ktel Yes you can contact Product support team even if you are using a free version. Our phone support team will be happy to assist.
Hey, I am experiencing the exact same problem. I have also tried on WS and had the same problem there too. Pretty straight forward tax return here. I was able to submit it to Revenu Quebec without any issues, but the ARC is refusing it for the same reasons you mentionned.
There's clearly an issue with the software , the link between box 17 on the t4 and line 30800 on the T1 isn't working. I don't know if they can correct the programming or not from this side . If they can I hope it doesn't take too long. The worst case scenario is that we'll have to mail in the CRA submission. I'm waiting to find out what options we have before I do that.
If it can't be fixed then there will be a LOT of people in Quebec who will have to mail in their returns that would normally file online.
You mentioned that you were able to file to Revenu Quebec- did you do that with Turbotax or Wealthsimple?
Thanks

Thanks for choosing TurboTax.
We've all already explained several times that we don't have access to schedule 8 , it's generated by the use input on the T4.
Clearly the only way to get information on this is to contact the product support team but it would be good if you would stop copying and pasting irrelevant information here.
Just spent almost 3 hours on the phone with support.
In my situation, it seems that the t4 has an overpayment for QPP. This seems to be entered correctly on the provincial side. However, on the Federal side it is not putting that overpayment anywhere. It keeps the entry 44800 blank when it shouldn't. Because that is the cell for CPP and QPP overpayment.
After 3 hours I am told that they created an investigation and will get back to me in 7 to 10 days.
But, will most likely try calling CRA after to see if they have an idea.
Thanks for the additional information, wow 3 hours on the phone to be told it will take 7-10 days to get an answer.
I'm not feeling confident that this is going to be resolved in a timely manner if at all.
This should have all been sorted out in testing before it was rolled out.
We're getting no help from the community advisors and now it would seem that the production team aren't much help either.
You may be right in reaching out to the CRA- that's what Turbotax should be doing as a matter of urgency- , did the rep say they would be contacting the CRA concerning this?
I spent an hour last night on the phone with support. They told me they couldn’t do anything and I would have to send it by mail. It is frustrating and it is not normal. I easily able to submit the QC one online, but mailed the CRA one this morning. Now I paid for a service I used half of, and I need to wait longer to get my refund as mail takes forever.
AviB1,
It is indeed wrong that you paid for a service that didn't work and now on top of that have to pay for the mailing of the return to the CRA along with all of the inconvenience and delayed refund.
Could you tell me if you filed with Revenu Quebec with TT or with WS?
I'm thinking that I'll just try and submit my RQ return now then prepare the mail in return for the CRA as I have no confidence that they're going to fix this issue.
Also for the CRA return how did you prepare the forms that you sent? Obviously we can't use the ones that we prepared online as they're inaccurate. Did you have to print off the forms and fill them in by hand or did you find fillable pdfs we can use?
thanks
