Deceased person filing

Trying to file a "couples" or joint return where one person deceased and the spouse living to take advantage of pension income splitting but software does not allow it. According to what I read on CRA filing a joint return allowable.

I called the support number as indicated and received an automated message. I asked for the suggested link to be texted to me - link was not received. How can I talk to a real person.

Unfortunately, TurboTax can't be used to prepare a joint return if one of the spouses is deceased. You can still do the pension split if you do separate returns, but the optimizer is not available in that case.

To talk to a real person, just answer No when the automated attendant asks you if you want something sent to you.
