Deceased returns

I am needing to file returns for parents this year.  They both passed in same year do I file them separately or as couple?

You would need to prepare the returns separately. 

FYI: If either of your parents owned a principal residence at the time of their death, then you won't be able to use TurboTax Online for that parent's return. It doesn't have the form that is needed. You can find the form in the Desktop versions of TurboTax.
