Desktop Standard edition Netfile allowance

Hello

If I buy the Standard Desktop edition from a store it allows 8 returns (CANADA) however I need to Netfile 6 couple returns. If only 5 Netfiles are allowed is there any way to purchase the 6th Netfile? If so, how and $.

PS: I don’t want to mail it, Thank you

Standard comes with 8 returns with net income greater than $25,000. Returns with net income less than $25,000 are free and won’t count as part of your 8 returns.

If you need to prepare more than 8 returns with net income greater than $25,000, then you can purchase more individual returns, or buy another code. You can prepare a maximum of 20 returns total (regardless of income or how they are filed).

The CRA allows you to NETFILE up to 20 returns.

What you didn't mention is the Netfile return. Given I need 6 returns over $25000 can I Netfile ALL 6 of them. I've read on you forum you can prepare 8 returns but Netfile only 5, so which is it?? Thank you

You may have been looking at a page from the US. In Canada you can NETFILE up to 20 returns, regardless of which version of the software you use. It can be any combination of free or paid returns (net income over $25000).

Thank you for all your help. I got all the answers I need. Just have to decide between a competitor that I've been using for years and switching to Turbo Tax. What I don't like is the Online only for Mac users I would much prefer the Desktop version on my Mac.
