Do i need to report my loss from cryptocurrency when i file my taxes?

I had bought some cryptocurrency worth around $200 just on the advice of a friend. I wasn't interested in it really, so I sold it off within a month for a loss of $50. Do I need to report the loss while I file for taxes in 2019? Is it mandatory to report a loss?
