Donations

I have entered $1675.00 total for donations on my return. When I look at details the donations line only shows $457.75. This is the only thing I need changed before I file.

The credit given for donations is based on the total amount of donations you're claiming in the year. For example, If your total donations were $1675, the credit is calculated as demonstrated below:

  • First $200 = $30 credit ($200 X 15%)
  • Remaining $1475 = $427.75 credit ($1475 X 29%)
  • Total= $30+$427.75=$457.75
