Entered a Donation amt. and the balance owing on the "optimize" page is negative = a refund. The "starting input" page shows same balance as "owing". Which is correct?

As I enter amounts I watch the main page for bottom line impacts. On some pages it shows the balance owing/refund - and those pages are showing negative amounts which means a refund. But the "starting" page shows a balance owing. Confusing - possible program errors?

If it's showing a minus sign on the donations page, that is an amount owing, not a refund.

I appreciate the person responding letting me know that a negative amount on the donation page means an amount owing - my question is why is it displayed this way. A negative amount literally anywhere else means a refund - so clearly I was confused enough to ask the question!
