I am experiencing an error when I go to netfile my return. It is code 95365. I entered a T3 slip which contained capital gains in box 21. Also, as part of this T-slip it contained boxes 52 and 53 which split this capital gain prior to June 25, 2024 and after June 24, 2024. These boxes are populated and total to the same amount showing in box 21. The problem appears to be that this information is not flowing to line 68140 on form 936. Because of this, it says that I cannot report a capital gain on line 17600 of schedule 3 without this entry on line 68140. I tried adding the lines together (52 & 53) and reporting them as one figure, but the total is still not flowing to form 936. I will try an override if there is no other option, but would appreciate knowing if/how others have dealt with this and if there is a fix coming.
I'm having the same problem, but I was unable to override the entry. It would open another table that already had the correct value and when I clicked Save&Close the line in T936 was still empty. Were you able to override the entry for line 68140?
I ended up not trying to override it because I saw someone had tried that in another post and the CRA did not accept the file. I also read that others have been locked out of Netfiling returns when multiple sending attempts had failed. Unfortunately it looks like we are forced to wait. It sounds like this has been an issue brought up over a week ago so someone had better be working this weekend to get this patch completed!!
Try this workaround: enter 100% ownership at the top and then half of all values into boxes for each person. (I also only entered capital gains in box 53, using the same value as line 21, half the total, instead of dividing the time periods.).
Then the values for line 68140 on T936 were correct and agreed with Schedule 3 line 17600, and try to file.
We are aware of this issue, and our development team is working on a resolution. We appreciate your patience.
No, this does not fix the problem. No figure is being carried over to form 936. In a previous thread someone noted that they had a capital loss reported, and I also have one of those so perhaps that may be part of the problem? Not sure if others experiencing the problem all have capital losses as well.
Please tell the development team to work faster.
@CM1965 Yes, we are making every effort to resolve this issue, and we will post an update in this thread as soon as it is.
I have the same issue (error #95365) on adding my t3.. I don’t know why my case number was closed after the call but definitely this is not yet fixed!
@SandyMed your case number was closed? That doesn’t make sense! The issue hasn’t been resolved yet!
Yes they closed my case number just a few mins after putting down the phone.
@SandyMed We have noted your feedback. Even though they must close the case, the investigation remains open. The same case number can be used if you ever need to call back.

This does not fix the problem! You can F2 overide # 68150 which should correct the software malfunction, but it does not. There are more errors on the T936 Chart A form as well.
I ended up taking the cents out off box(rounded off) 52 & 53 and made them a straight dollar figure and made box 21 add up to the two boxes. This then allowed me to submit electronically.
Sorry does not work. rounding up and removing the cents does not transfer the total of all T3 line 21's to line number #68140.
This is what is causing the error. The error is in the software. Line 68140 is not populating and therefore you cannot submit your income tax.
If calculated fields are overwritten it sets a flag and Netfile will not accept. Still, if no patch is forth coming, I also will try to override and mail it in.
I will be asking for a refund.
@Buchd1 totally agree. @TurboTaxAniqua please have the courage to advocate for your customers and demand that your Development team gives you an ETA for a fix. We all paid good money for this software. We are tired of excuses and “appreciation of our patience”. We, the loyal users of TurboTax, have no more patience to give.
We genuinely sympathize with your frustration, and we are working hard to find a quick solution. Our development team has been receiving feedback from our customers on a regular basis. We also want this problem to be fixed and for our customers to submit their returns as soon as possible. We value your patience and assure you that this problem will be resolved shortly.
i got it to submit.
copy the full amount from box 21 into box 53, enter zero for box 52. It worked for me!
make sure the same amount is in both boxes 53
I have the same persistent issue with Capital Gains splitting not working from T3 boxes 52&53 adding myself into thread to get notified when the error is fixed.
Most unhappy about product shipping this buggy
Since the government has shelved the changes to the taxes on Capital Gains, boxes 52 & 53 are now irrelevant. I want to just leave boxes 52 & 53 blank & merely record the total in box 21. The problem is that Turbo Tax won't let me netfile this way, indicating that I must fix this error. What do you suggest we do? Should we just wait it out until Turbo Tax changes the software to reflect that boxes 52 & 53 are now irrelevant, or should we mail in our returns? Please reply.

So frustrating!
I only have 1 attempt at Netfiling before my account is locked. I'm reluctant to try again before I'm certain there's a fix on Turbo Tax.
Has anyone tried calling CRA?
