Error code 95365

The April 7 updates did not correct the issue for me, I am still getting the error code 95365,  I tried the ''customer actions" a few times, with no success.  Now I am locked out of my CRA account, after 6 attempts to Netfile.  I am not looking forward to contacting CRA nor filing a paper return.

@Tomcar09 We understand but to unlock your NETFILE account, you need to contact CRA.

The CRA has announced systems tax calculator errors that may affect your ability to file. These errors are affecting all CRA certified tax software across Canada.

TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.

If you see one of these error codes, please visit What does my NETFILE error code mean and how do I fix it?

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

As of April 14 2025, the issue with box 21 from T3 is not copied to T936 form when you have captial losses IS STILL NOT fixed.

Please provide a update when this fix will be completed.

My problem is not with the CRA BUT WITH YOUR SOFTWARE. Line 68140 in Chart A of Form T936 remains at 0 even though when I double-click it, it brings me back to line 21 of the T3 which, obviously, is not be zero.
Every time I tried to netfile I got the same message from the CRA pointing out this problem, because line 17600 should match line 68140, and I cannot override it to fix it.
Please help.

Same issue here with Error Code 95365 with no entry in line 68140 in Chart A of Form T936 although there is an entry on line 17600 of Schedule 3.

Second time the CRA has rejected my NetFile for this error.

It is frustrating. I thought they said they will fix by April 14,  but obviously not.

You cannot get a hold of ANYONE at CRA. They tell you to call back later because they are too busy. I am contacting my MP this is ridiculous how Intuit has put out a half baked software product that millions of Canadian taxpayers cannot use to submit their taxes. I don’t know who is more guilty but both CRA and Intuit are culpable. This is going to be FARCE  if millions have to print and mail their returns to CRA.

100% agree!

And thanks for taking the action to talk to your MP.

I really don't want to mail my tax return, feel like we are back to the stone age.

The issue with Turbotax not transferring the T3 Box 21 capital gains to line 68140 on the T936 form is a software bug; nothing to do with CRA.

@Dave_L1 This is not a TurboTax issue.  The CRA has confirmed that this issue is affecting all CRA-certified tax software. TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.

To support taxpayers in navigating these CRA errors, the TurboTax Canada blog is being regularly updated with the latest information on NETFILE error codes, CRA-approved workarounds, and expected resolution dates.

As soon as the issue is resolved, we'll post an update in this thread.

Thank you for your patience and choosing TurboTax.

If you are able to get through to CRA they will reset your account so you can have another 6 trys to submit your return via netfile

This is a TurboTax Issue.  The solution mentioned in your blog post does not work in this case.

I have have an entry in my T3 for box 21 and Turbotax is not transferring it to line 68140 on the T936 form.

If I go into the forms method and try to over-ride the entry, the override does not get accepted and line 68140 is still 0.00.

You have multiple people reporting this error.

Please resolve it.

Sorry but that may be not correct.  It does appear to be a Turbo Tax issue.

It's been mentioned a few times in different threads.  A T5008 loss is not bring properly reflected in line 68140 of form T936 which is causing the rejection from CRA.

Like others, this is holding up a refund and is incredibly frustrating.

As of April 15, 2025, code 95365 persists, even after the fix where you round to the nearest dollar to avoid the rounding error. I found this useful comment on another turbotax thread which applies to me since I have a net capital loss on Schedule 3 line 19900:

"If the total taxable capital gains on line 19900 on schedule 3 is positive, the T936 issue goes away and the capital gain on the T3 is shown correctly on line 68140 but if you are reporting net capital loss on schedule 3 line 19900 then the T936 does not pick up the amount of capital gain from the T3 slip. That is the problem in question."

no workaround will work if we have capital losses inT5008 and capital gain in T3

If that is true then I am doomed as I have both.

I agree you cannot override the value on 68140

I have the same issue.  I also noticed that error 95365 is not given a reprieve by the CRA and those with this error have until April 30th to submit their taxes (if money is owing) or penalties will be applied..  Why Intuit says this is resolved is beyond me.  NOTE: even if you could override the data, Netflix won't accept any forms that were overwritten.

This looks like a Turbo Tax issue to me.   Why isn't form T936 automatically reporting  on line 68140 what I have already entered  in my T3s?   That seems to me what it should be doing., but it is NOT.     I tried to do an override to put in the number - but Turbo Tax doesn't want me to do that either.

Is Turbo Tax fixing this issue?  Can I do the override?

I don't believe this is a CRA issue, I believe it is a Turbo tax issue that needs to be fixed.

Thanks
