Errors in TP-128 form CCA calculation in Turbotax Canada 2025

In Turbotax 2025, as of February 11 2026, the CCA calculations in form TP-128 are incorrect in multiple places.

First, even though I have negative net income on the rental property, the TP128 still calculates a non-zero CCA which it uses to increase the loss.  This is wrong.  The available CCA in the case of a loss should be 0.

Second, columns 17, 20, 22 and 23 are incorrectly calculated.

For example, Col 17 should be C17 = 1/2 * C10 - C11 - C9 - C5.  I have C10 = $251, C11 = C9 = C5 = $0. So the result should be approx $125, yet C17 shows $969.

It turns out that $969 is the amount shown on the same line of C17 of federal form T776.  However, the values in form TP-128 should be the values that appear in T776 multiplied by the percentage ownership which in my case is approx. 13%...

As another example of error, all lines in C23 are zero despite there being much undepreciated property left.

Please make sure TP128 is tested.   In particular, please have a test case where ownership is not 100%!

Thank you!

David

We have sent this to an investigation. We have been informed that the forms are currently under development. Updates are continually being integrated into the CCA table. This is a known development status, not a bug. The CCA table is still dependent on the finalization of the CRA forms, and we are actively working to update the table as these forms become available. We appreciate your patience.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

Dear Aniqua,

I seem to have a different definition of "bug" than you (if important functionality of a released product does not perform to spec), but no matter, since I am sure that your team will fix this in due course, so thank you for referring the non compliance description to them.

Ciao!

I understand your point! To ensure total accuracy for our users, we must wait for the final CRA specifications before activating the forms. I've forwarded your feedback to our product team to ensure that the final product meets all expectations. Ciao!

Good morning.  I am getting this error as well.   CCA portion of the Statement of Employment Expenses form is still being finalized and isn’t ready for filing. Finish preparing the rest of your return and we’ll email...

Any idea when this may be corrected?

@user17718520596  This form has not been finalized yet. We're working hard to finalize all tax forms to meet Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec (RQ) requirements. Some of these forms aren’t ready yet in TurboTax.

If your return has one of the below forms, you can't file your return in TurboTax yet. If you’re a TurboTax Online customer, we’ll email you when your forms are ready to be filed in early March 2026. We will update this link once it's finalized

Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?

This is now another year where I’m unable to file my return because TurboTax has not yet updated its software to reflect recent CRA form changes.

The relevant form was updated by the CRA 12 days ago, yet your platform still does not support it. Unfortunately, customers only discover this limitation after completing their return and paying for the software.

This is extremely frustrating. Tax filing is time-sensitive, and software delays should not prevent submission — especially when the CRA update is already publicly available.

Can you please provide:

  1. A clear timeline for when this form will be updated?

  2. An explanation for the delay?

I would appreciate a prompt response.

@user202521 As per the original poster, there are issues with the CCA section, which is likely the reason why the form is locked. As per the FAQ that TurboTaxAniqua linked to, the ETA for all forms to be unlocked is early March 2026, however individual forms may be unlocked before then.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, the update was just completed. Please close your software and reopen it and complete the software updates. You can then go back to your TP128 and verify your calculations.

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

If you are using TurboTax Desktop, please update it. All TTD forms are available except for the TP-726.7.

The TurboTax Online (DIY) version has also been updated, with the exception of form TP-726.7.

We appreciate your patience as we worked on this.
