Expert Review

Is the expert supposed to view your SIN #?

If you are having your return reviewed- The tax experts will go through everything on your income tax return making sure it was entered properly so that you have no issues filing your return.

I filed my income tax return but should maybe gotten it looked at? Just wanna make sure i did it right.

If you are using the TTO (online), you will need the Assist and Review option.

You can add this to your return from the top right corner on your screen --> click on Live Tax Advice --> Upgrade 

Once you agree on the upgrade, the price will be added to your return before Netfiling

To access the feature --> on the right corner of the top bar --> click on expert help --> ask the question, enter your information, and click confirm

If you want a full review --> from the left menu --> review --> expert review --> you can schedule a time to go over your return

 

If you are using the TTD (desktop), you will need the Pro-Review option:

To purchase The "Life Assist and Review" --> go the left menu under "Review" --> click on "Assist and review" --> 

On the main screen click on the box "I want my return reviewed"

The price will be added to the return before Netfiling 

To ask for help --> use the support icon on the top blue bar --> fill your information and confirm

The review option is not working - it says having technical difficulties and to try again - I have been trying for a number of days. What is going on? The  system still wants to charge me for the price that  includes the review option even though it is not available.

update: You have to upgrade to use the Life Assist and Review first before you can use the service.

Thanks but no not helpful. In fact the system was not working - and when I spoke to a real person they tried and found the same thing. They had to book the review by emailing someone - which they did.

also in fact I do not have to pay prior to the review - the payment is made at the end .

i am not able to set up an expert review appointment.It keeps saying technical problems

Yes thanks I did have success but had to call and speak to someone to who had to book it. The system did not work.

I connected through the site where you ask for help with your form. I think it was in the upper right corner. 
Another thing I did was to post on facebook on the Turbo tax canada page. I got a response and was given this number [phone number removed].

I agree they need to improve somethings. 
I even wrote to the head office but never heard back even though it says they will refer to the appropriate department.
