Further to my post above, I did another āWhat Ifā :
- I removed all T3s
- line 19900 remains negative ( capital Loss)
Result - line 68140 NOT populated
as soon as I changed line 19900 to capital gain, with or without T3, line 68140 got populated.
On April 14th, Line 68140 on form T936 still incorrectly calculated from T3s. Seems to be linked to a capital loss in Annex 3, which is not populating on line 1 of T936.
Still not working properly for me either.
Do you have joint capital gains. The T936 error happens if you have joint capital gains. Spoke to turbotax yesterday. Supposed to be fixed on April 16th.
I also have a capital loss too but specialist said it was due to joint capital gains (losses)
Update April 15th: Don't think is has anything to do with joint capital gains. It happens if you have a capital loss. And I see people on the topic, that have this issue without any joint gains/losses.
I don't have Split capital gains.
Updated software April 14th, removed T3 re-added, Still will not populate Line 68140. Found an option to over ride field however you are blocked from Net File, only need to update 68140 and I can file. Turbo Tax is there a plan to fix this.
I have Capital Loss from T5008 and positive amount from T3. Line 68140 will not populate.
Like others, I am getting a NETFILE error code 95365, and line 68140 on T936 shows a value of zero incorrectly on my partner's return - partner has a net capital loss (from T5008s) but has some positive capital gains on T3s which are not transferring properly to line 68140. On my return, which has a net capital gain, line 95365 on T936 has the correct value, and NETFILE worked fine on my return. We have no shared or split capital gains. I have tried various suggested fixes and updates but Intuit TurboTax software will not update line 68140.
Is this an Intuit TurboTax software problem, not a NETFILE problem?
It is a TurboTax software problem. I understand they are working on it. There was probably a significant change to the software because of the planned (but canceled) inclusion rate change. But it could be that this issue always existed but maybe CRA just started checking this year. What is strange is that other tax software companies appear to be encountering this same issue
Update: I am mistaken that other tax software companies are having this issue, the 95365 issue I saw in other companies, was the original CRA error that has now been fixed.
@Anne04 This is not a TurboTax issue.
The CRA has confirmed that this issue is affecting all CRA certified tax software. TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians. To support taxpayers in navigating these CRA errors, the TurboTax Canada blog is being regularly updated with the latest information on NETFILE error codes, CRA-approved workarounds, and expected resolution dates.

Thank you for your patience and choosing TurboTax.
There was originally a CRA error that generated 95365 erroneously but CRA fixed this error on April 7th according to their website. But the 95365 error I am getting now is a legitimate error - Turbo Tax is not filling in T936 line 68140. And it appears to happen when you are reporting a capital loss. (T5008). Line 68140 is an auto field which should be the total of box 21 from T3s.
Update: reviewed issue again with Support (and someone from 'higher' department). They acknowledge it is a software problem. They are working on a solution but don't have an estimated resolution date. I did a screen share with them and did all the things everyone in the chat have done, to more or less show that if there is a loss the T936 form is not updated properly.
