I entered childcare expense last and my refund decreased. This implies claiming the expenses is not beneficial. How is this so? Why did my refund decrease?

I entered all my other tax information first. I enter the child expense info last. In all other years, I have received an increase in refund. Why, when my situation has been largely the same, would adding the childcare expenses decrease my refund?

The final refund / balance owing is not final until ALL information is entered in your tax return. Please enter it all and go trough the revision and you will have the summary of your return. There you will be able to see if all of it make sense.
