How do I claim my farm income if I don’t have a gst #

You don’t need to be a GST registrant to be able to report Farming Income.

Please check our TurboTax articles:

When you are ready to file your income tax return, use form T2042 – Statement of Farming Activities to report your farming income and expenses. However, if you participate in the AgriInvest or AgriStability programs, you must use forms T1273 – Statement A – Harmonized AgriStability and AgriInvest Programs Information and Statement of Farming Activities for Individuals or T1163 – Statement A – AgriStability and AgriInvest Programs Information and Statement of Farming Activities for Individuals, depending on where you live.

To report Farming Income in TurboTax Online:

  1. Select Find in the upper-right area. (The Find button becomes visible after you have completed the Introduction/Profile section.)
  2. In the Find window, type “Farm”.
  3. Select Farming Activities from the list of results, then select Go.
  4. Enter information asked on the screens that follow.
  5. When you are asked for a GST#, you don’t need to enter any number if you are not a GST registrant. You can move on to the next screen by selecting Continue.
