How do I remove the Northern Ontario resident deduction? I did not put a check mark next to this credit, but it keeps appearing.

Search in "Northern Residence Deduction." You will then continue and delete all the amounts put in that section—the next 3 pages. Then you will click on "Continue." You will then go back to the "Deduction" section, and you will click on "SKIP" when it asks if you'd like to claim the Northern Residence Deduction.
