How to claim staycation receipts if there is no GST/ HST number, can I still use the receipt for an Airbnb paid through hipcamp?

paid through hipcamp, receipt for total amount is viewable on receipt, but then owner of airbnb reimbursed part of the total through email transfer. How to I show this?

As per TurboTax, whether it’s a campground or Airbnb, whoever is hosting you must be registered for the Goods and Services Tax (GST)/ Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). It must appear on the detailed receipt.

Because you were not provided with a GST/HST number on your receipt, you may not claim this credit.

 

However, you may contact the owner of the Airbnb to send you a new receipt with the GST and the actual amount paid.
