If I added my 16 year old income under my dependants, does that affect my return? Does it count as her return?

Hi thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, if you include your child's income in your return, it does affect your return. However, it will not be considered as her return. It will still be your return. You will have to prepare a separate tax return for her if you want to file for her. Thank you!
