Line 30425 - no more dependant caregiver

I am trying to do the income tax and even if I don't have any dependant, I get the amount on this line.

The dependant died last year (2020 Dec 30) so shouldn't be on this year tax return (2021).

We are so sorry for your loss. This information may be included if you transferred last year's information on your return. Please follow the steps below to remove this information in your return.

  1. Sign in to your account and enter your return.
  2. Go to the menu on the left side and click on My Info.
  3. Click on Dependant's information which opens the "Do you have children or financially support another person?" screen.
  4. Here you will Remove the dependant's information then uncheck the Yes and select the No.
  5. Click on Continue to save your new information.
