Message that I can't file due to Capital Gains form but I don't have any capital gains. Anyone else having this issue?

I have the exact same problem.  No capital gains but won't let me file.  Very disappointed.   What am I supposed to do?  I might not use this software next year.

Please verify that none of the forms you are using are locked: TurboTax FAQ: Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?

I am having exact same issue.  No capital gains/losses on my return, but it says I can't file, due to CRA's issues.  However, this definitely seems like a TurboTax issue, not CRA.  It can't seem to differentiate between returns that have CG/Ls and those without.  Pretty weak software if that's the case.

@RVC99 If you are using TurboTax Desktop, please try clearing the unneeded forms and then closing unused forms. You can find those options under Edit>Forms in the top menu.

I am having the same issue. CRA is taking it's sweet time fixing this problem. It Is now March 18, 2025 and I still can't file my taxes. This is beyond ridiculous.

@areichwald Schedule 3 will be updated, and all the locked forms will be unlocked and ready by the 20th of March, 2025. We appreciate your patience.

CG form is now available, but when I go to complete my taxes and choose "Fix" the form it loads a screen that forces me to start a new return. Now Iam unable to update and file my return.... Any idea why?

What error message are you getting in where you need to click on fix?

I get a warning about entering a home sale in 2024, so I click on the link to go to the form to update it and instead it takes me to a screen where I’ll choose to start a new return. I’ve logged out and tried again to no avail. 

@sixzer04 If it's a warning and doesn't apply to you and you have no information added regarding that schedule, you can ignore the warning and proceed to filing.
