My son earned $6827.83 last year and is a full time student in univeristy. Why is his refund so high? It's $1600"

My son earned $6827.83 last year and is a full time student in univeristy. Why is his refund so high? It's $1600. He only paid $549 in income tax.

Make sure months are reported on the T2202A and included in TurboTax with the tuition information.
