My T2022a shows a different amount than what is reported. There is a significant difference in the amounts. This is based on my previous year’s taxes. Is this okay?

Your 2018 T2022a shows the amount of eligible tuition for 2018. If you transferred your info from your 2017 return, it will show any tuition that carried forward from 2017. If they are different amounts, this is OK.
