I am also having the same issue as others have and the solutions provided in the blog are not resolving the issue. It does not appear to be a rounding error as the amount is not even shown on line 68140 when it should. It does not appear to be a CRA issue how TurboTax is making it sound like, rather a TurboTax and Wealthsimple issue, Studio tax populates it correctly and should be an easy fix for TurboTax.
Overall net capital loss with negative value on line 1 of Chart A on form T936. The issue is that line 68140 on T936 should not show 0, it should still match the amount on line 17600 on schedule 3.
I wanted to add that Ufile was having the same issue but based on the last post on their forum they have been able to fix it. This is a Turbotax issue rather than CRA.
Netfile rejected - error 95365 - NETFILE and filing - UFile Support Community
Definitely a turbotax error.
I have been following since march 18 the issues about forms at first, and now error 95365.
As of the update applied this wed april 16th 7h15 EDT, while summing box 52 into 53 of my T3, and well after the supposed CRA rounding fix of april 7th, I STILL RECEIVE ERROR 95365.
Thia was clearly said and confirmed many many times by users by now, There should be a value in 68140 and 68150 for the CRA to accept it.
I don't care about whose fault it is. Whether the CRA is improperly validating, or TT is being too to-the-letter about the form filling, at this point BOTH SIDES should make a move to help us. TT should resume putting values as it did last years, and CRA should validate according to their own rules. As long as the date is not lost, being difficult about where redundant data fit or doesn't fit precious little rules is of no concern to tax payers.
Do not give us canned responses that it is CRA's fault anymore. You have been told and confirmed that the problem CAN BE FIXED by intuit regardless of CRA's response, so YOU SHOULD HELP US.
@Zerocool_Maverick If you see one of these error codes, it's due to a CRA issue affecting all tax software in Canada, so you will not be able to accurately file your taxes with any CRA-certified tax software unless you use a CRA-recommended workaround or wait until these issues are resolved by the CRA.
We do not recommend using any workarounds that have not been approved by the CRA, as this might affect the accuracy of your return.
@Dan178 The CRA has announced systems tax calculator errors that may affect your ability to file. These errors are affecting all CRA-certified tax software across Canada.
TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.

This is not a TurboTax issue. The CRA has confirmed that this issue is affecting all CRA-certified tax software. TurboTax is in direct contact with senior Government of Canada officials at CRA, underscoring the urgent need for accountability and decisive action to resolve these issues for our customers and all Canadians.
To support taxpayers in navigating these CRA errors, the TurboTax Canada blog is being regularly updated with the latest information on NETFILE error codes, CRA-approved workarounds, and expected resolution dates.
As soon as the issue is resolved, we'll post an update in this thread.
Thank you for your patience and choosing TurboTax.
Yeah, sure. Keep living in denial.
I just finished filing SUCCESSFULLY with STUDIOTAX, both federal and provincial.
Same numbers, same T5/T3/5008, but correct values propagated in annex 3 and T936.
The statement that the issue is affecting all Softwares is a bit of a stretch. How can people file successfully with Studiotax without encountering this error. At what point TurboTax will address the issue and populate the correct values in Chart A?
And since you marked this post as solved. What is the solution? Like many other Turbotax users, I am still not able to file my tax returns due to this error. Please explain how your post solved my problem?
It sounds like the community should be changing software providers next year if TT is incapable of getting this issue resolved and others (ie tax studio) are. I'm very dissatisfied, I have a sizeable refund being delayed by what sounds like silliness. I have also lost many hours reviewing my tax return and trying to get it submitted. This is not good enough.
This is absolutely a turbotax issue.
If the tax software is unable to populate line 68140 on the T936 properly it is causing the failure. But it is the turbotax application that is NOT copying the information over properly.
I would love to know how many of us are in the same boat. Can we start a poll?
Having spent a lot of time trying to solve this issue I have found that line 68140 in chart A will populate properly from your T3, only if you have "gains". If you report any"losses", ie from a T5008, and a negative number shows up in Chart A , the amounts on line 68140 disappears. Without an amount on line 68140 , which should equal Line 16700 in Schedule 3 the CRA is still rejecting the return.
I heard that UFile was working so I bought that tax software today but it has the same issue and is rejected by the CRA.
In conclusion I say it is a programing issue and nobody (tax software people or CRA) wants to take responsibility to fix it. It can't be that difficult can it?
Just bought UFile and tried it today. does not solve 95365 issue either.
Thank you Dan178! Studiotax is where I am heading ! Canadian made too! Unlike Intuit which has largely abandoned Canada. Edmonton office is shut down.
rgrabo65 - And do you also have the issue, with the net capital loss position from T5008s and capital gains from T3s? And, that worked with Studiotax? If so, I'm going to go buy a copy of that and pound my numbers into that this weekend, and move away from TurboTax. They resolved some TurboTax issues for this error code, but it's the combination of the net capital loss position with the positive gains on T3s that TurboTax seems hopelessly incompetent to solve.
As of April 17 this error has been fixed. Lines 68140 & 68150 are now non-zero and I was able to NETFILE successfully with a net capital loss.
I can confirm that I was able to Netfile successfully about 10 minutes ago - even with capital gains from T3 forms and a net capital loss overall. There was another TurboTax software update this morning and I was able to verify that line 68140 now matched 17600 on Schedule 3 before Netfiling again. Interesting that there was no notice that this bug was fixed...
You are correct. I'm glad that Intuit TT corrected this error this morning. I hope everyone is now able to submit.
Agree the issue with 95365 and Chart A has been finally fixed. A loss in Chart A no longer removes a gain from a T3 on line68140.
I was able to file my return a few minutes ago and was accepted by the CRA.
The TurboTax up date on April 17th has solved that issue.
Although Turbotax did not send me an e-mail stating it was fixed as promised
I found out only thanks to the community here!.
Error 95365 seems finally resolved to me. I was able to successfully file this morning. Line 68140 populated correctly and I had capital losses.
