NETFILE worksheet showing submit TP1 to Revenue Quebec as "Yes" even though I am not filing for Quebec

Hi,

I am using Forms mode for Turbo Tax standard.  There is a NetFile worksheet and it is strange that there is a separate Revenue Quebec worksheet and the first question where it asked whether to submit TP1 to Revenue Quebec is marked as "Yes" even though I am not residing in the province and certainly not filing for Quebec.

If I flip it to "No" manually, will it cause problem with NetFile?

Thanks.

Hi Com_Sam,

This answer is there by default. If your province of residence is not Québec, then it will not affect your federal tax return. This question is applied for Québec people who are netfiling a Québec tax return.

Thank you!

Hi Mangalie,

I hope you can assist me with a quick question. I have a sole proprietorship based in BC, and while most of my sales were within BC, about 1% of my 2018 sales were made to Quebec. I’ve already filed my 2018 income tax using TurboTax with the CRA, but I recently received a letter from Revenue Quebec requesting me to file my 2018 income tax for Quebec sales.

Does TurboTax offer any software or guidance on how I can file my Quebec sales for 2018? Please let me know the best way to handle this situation.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards, Reza
