Other expenses line 22900 not showing to include training

Hi

I am trying to claim training cost I incurred not covered by my employer. However, I can't find any box to tick or field to fill in to display 'other expenses'. I am trying to claim the training cost as 'other expenses' on line 22900.

I have seen few posts reporting this issue.

Any advice?

Thanks,

Javed

Training expense

amount

can be entered

on the Other expenses line (9270) of Form T777, Statement of Employment Expenses. Enter on line 22900, the allowable amount of your employment expenses from the total expenses line of Form T777.

If you are using TurboTax Online from the sidebar you will need to go:

  • To Income > Employment Expenses: if you meet both conditions mentioned please click: Yes/No. Then click Continue.

  • Next page you will be asked: Did you receive a T2200 or T2200S from your employer? Once the option has been selected based on which you will have to answer further questions on that page. Then click Continue.

  • Next page you will be asked: How would you like to file your employment expenses? Click on the appropriate option. Then click Continue.

  • Click on "Incurred expenses for the purpose of earning employment income". Then click Continue.

  • Check the box "Other Employment Expenses". Then click Continue.

  • On the Other Employment Expenses page, you will find a section that mentions "Other Expenses". Training expense amount can be entered on the Other expenses.
