Question regarding tuition

I am helping my son with his return. We are confused as his annual income is less than 10000 and he has attended full time school for 4 months. His tuition was paid with an RESP and he has claimed the income that came from the fund. Initially his refund was 1950 but after entering his T2202 is refund dropped to 600. Is it not a benefit to attend school? Have I entered something incorrectly?

If you filled out the Canada Worker's Benefit (CWB) prior to entering the T2202, then the T2202 would reduce his refund. This is because if he attended school full-time for 3 or more months (13+ weeks) during the year, then he would not be eligible to claim the CWB and it would be removed from his refund. Since he was a full-time student for 4 months, he is not eligible to claim the CWB.
