Can I claim part of my house if it used as something else sometimes?
Yes, you can.
If you are claiming employment expenses, you can use the CRA's expense calculator to help you calculate the amount of expenses you can claim.
If you are claiming self-employment expenses, it will ask you questions regarding how much time you spend using this space as a home office. Then it will calculate the amount of expenses you can claim for you.
