I receive income from a U.S company but live in Canada. Do i need to complete my US taxes using a U.S version of Turbotax or other means and then apply that to Canadian version of Turbotax, or can can i complete everything at once using one version? If so how do i go about doing this? Thanks in advance.
You would need to use the US version of TurboTax to file your US taxes, and then report the income on your Canadian taxes using the Canadian version of TurboTax. There is a tax treaty between the US & Canada, so will not be double taxed.
This FAQ tells you how to report foreign income, pension, and other foreign amounts: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/community/other-income/help/how-do-i-report-foreign-income-fore...
